What is between sessions therapy?

Two hands reaching across the sky representing a relationship and wanting to increase connection and the space between self and others representing between sessions therapy

Between sessions therapy originated from the “within and between” focus of relational therapy. It highlights the relationship within the self to self and the relationship between self and others.

Between sessions therapy emphasizes the goal of improving your life and your relationships between our therapy sessions.

A marriage and family therapist or a relational therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families to navigate relational challenges, including the relationship to self.

As a relational therapist, I believe relationships are the most powerful and impactful contributor to our lives, and this includes the relationship to self. I help clients build a more fulfilling and intentional life, working through the barriers that have led to disconnection from themselves and within their relationships by creating new ways to connect to self, others, and their goals. I believe each client has inherent wisdom, resiliency, and resources within themselves and my job is to help clients tap into that. My goal is to go beyond the symptoms to uncover and address the root issues causing dissatisfaction, bridging the gap between where you are and where you would like to be.
